First Car Mechanic (also as an apprentice)

As a First Auto Mechanic, you are the link that ensures that the company fleet of Municipality Utrecht continues to drive. Whether it concerns fuel systems, transmissions, braking systems, engine condition, electrical systems, wheel alignment or tires, you are ready. It is your knowledge and skills that ensure that the customer with a (defective) car is quickly back on the road.

You can do this by:

• Resolving complex faults, both mechanical and electrical.
• Carrying out maintenance on regular and electric passenger cars, towed materials and/or appendages.

Your working day starts between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, where you can indicate your preference. With a 38-hour working week you have room for a good work-life balance. About once every 4-5 weeks we work on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. In addition, you have a breakdown service approximately once every 4-5 weeks.

This organization in Utrecht specializes in service and maintenance of cars in the waste, cleaning and recycling industry. They do this for the entire company fleet of the Municipality Utrecht . What we offer you:

• Gross salary between €2500 and €3600 per month, depending on experience and diplomas
• Surcharges for overtime: 128.5% after 38 hours and 147% after 40 hours + on Saturdays
• 25 vacation days and 8.33% vacation pay based on full-time employment
• Possibility for further development, including costs for study
• Start on a temporary basis, aim for permanent employment with extra benefits

What we ask of you:

• Completed training to become a 1st mechanic (EAT) with a valid MOT 2 diploma and diploma for electric vehicles or be willing to obtain this
• Affinity with (electric) passenger cars and different constructions
• Experience in diagnosing said vehicle types
• Responsibility for own work
• Customer-friendly attitude
