Forklift driver

As a forklift driver you are responsible for various tasks within a refrigerated and frozen environment, where temperatures vary from +7 to -28 degrees Celsius. You are part of a close-knit team that values ​​collaboration. Your primary duties include loading and unloading trucks using an enclosed forklift equipped with heating. You will receive freezer clothing, which means that working sporadically with an open forklift is no problem. Precision is of great importance. You are responsible for scanning products and also perform various logistical tasks. 

On a regular working day, you and the entire team are constantly loading and unloading trucks and boats. In the beginning you use an open forklift to get familiar with the environment. The work takes place in various large warehouses and freezer/cold rooms. You work very accurately and do not shy away from using the high mast to pick up a pallet at a height of 10 meters and drive away. Although it is busy, as an experienced forklift driver you know how to handle it well! 

About the client

You will work within a company that specializes in the storage of refrigerated and frozen products, mainly focused on frozen chicken and fish, with potatoes as an addition. This company has both national offices spread across Nederland and international locations. The branch where you will be working is located in Harlingen . About 25 people work here, 18 of whom work in the storage space. The team is closely connected and embraces the characteristic Frisian mentality. The company exudes a great atmosphere, where conviviality and mutual solidarity are central.

As a forklift driver you take the following with you: 

• In possession of a forklift certificate; 
• Extensive experience as a forklift driver;
